The Graduate Center Library is pleased to welcome Wanett Clyde as the new Adjunct Reference and Digital Outreach Librarian. Wanett brings a wealth of experience from the Brooklyn Public Library where she promotes BPL services through social media and serves as the Information Commons Librarian. Prior to that, Wanett worked with the Archivists Round Table of Metropolitan New York, Inc. (A.R.T.) where she initiated and implemented a targeted social media plan for New York Archives Week (from which we at the Graduate Center benefited with sold-out workshops  associated with the city-wide endeavor).

Wanett will coordinate the GC Library’s Twitter feed, our Facebook posts, and have a hand in managing this very blog, GC Library news & events. She will lift and drag us into the future with her attention to social media and outreach. We want you to attend Library workshops! We want you to care about shifting modes of scholarly communication! Wanett’s social media work will help.

Wanett will also staff the ever-popular GC Library reference desk, supplying up-to-date information gleaned from the Library’s ample selection of research databases, and dispensing virtual reference service through CUNY’s Ask-A-Librarian service. Please stay tuned to the Library’s blog, Twitter, and Facebook pages to find out what’s going on and share your ideas for how to improve collections, services, and conversation about library matters.
