We are hiring for a part-time (10-20 hours/week) position at the Interlibrary Loan unit of the Graduate Center library.

Interlibrary Loan is an essential service for the GC community, facilitating access to a wide variety of physical and digital materials for our students, faculty and staff, and for the users of our partner libraries around the world.

This position involves working onsite at the library with physical materials. There is a significant amount of packing and unpacking, handling books and media, scanning, retrieving books from the library stacks, and lifting bins and boxes of approximately 25lbs a few times daily. You would also do extensive searching in library catalogs and databases, and learn to use a variety of software specific to interlibrary loan, library circulation, and shipping. And, you would help any walk-in library users with interlibrary loan questions.

The position pays $15.61/hr. If you work 20 hours a week, you will qualify for health insurance among other benefits.
