Welcome back! Fall 2021 Access Updates

Welcome back to the Mina Rees Library! We’re excited to share a few updates – including the return of print circulation, InterLibrary Loan, and expanded Library access. Read about the details below – and feel free to reach us at ref@gc.cuny.edu, or via our 24/7 live chat service.

On-Site Access to the Mina Rees Library

Until Wednesday August 25th, please continue to reserve Library space in advance using our online reservation system. After Wednesday August 25th, a reservation is not required: you may arrive on site showing a valid GC or SLU ID. CUNY Faculty can show their current campus ID. Until further notice, library access is limited to current GC or SLU students and CUNY Faculty. Masks are required for all individuals.

Starting August 25th, New Library Hours

Today until August 25th: Monday through Thursday, 9am-5pm.

After August 25th and Fall Semester: Open hours will be  10:00am – 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.

If you’d like to return Library books: Feel free to return your books anytime at the book drop in the Lobby by Security, or inside the Library at the Circulation Desk.

The Circulation Desk is now open and you may check out books in person. [Please note that before 8/25, you will need to reserve space to enter the Library].

InterLibrary Loan requests for print books/items can now be placed. You will receive an email notice when your item(s) are ready for pickup in person.

In-Person Library Tours will be offered for those new to the space – simply fill out the form to sign up! We will also be hosting a series of online workshops – keep an eye out for these on our homepage. If you would like to request a one-on-one consultation, fill out the form to meet with your subject librarian.
