Over the past two and a half years, many Graduate Center students, faculty, and staff have interacted with Adjunct Reference Librarian Katelyn (Kate) Angell. In her time at the Mina Rees Library, she provided top-notch reference assistance; taught workshops about finding grants and more; contributed to several iterations of the Open Pedagogy Fellowship; assisted students depositing their dissertations, theses, and capstone projects; completed hundreds of e-book search requests; made 150 CLAGSNews articles publicly available in CUNY Academic Works; and more.

So it is with both great pleasure and a little bit of sadness that we share that Kate is leaving the Graduate Center for a new opportunity. But she’s not leaving CUNY! On August 25, she will join Lehman College as a tenured associate professor in the position of Assessment–Data Management Librarian.
