The series, which features one webinar per month, kicks off this Friday:
Selecting a Venue for Journal Publication

Led by Megan Wacha (Scholarly Communications Librarian, Office of Library Services) and Tracey Revenson (Professor of Psychology at Hunter College and Editor-in-Chief of the Annals of Behavioral Medicine)
This webinar will support faculty researchers to make informed decisions when selecting a journal to publish their work. Content will include how to find and evaluate potential journal venues (including the identification of predatory publishers), as well as understanding one’s rights as an author when negotiating contracts.
The dates, times, and descriptions of all sessions are available on the Funding Fridays web page. Different researchers will be attracted to different sessions, but sessions that might particularly interest readers of this blog include Foundation Funding Strategies and Opportunities (December 4), Public and Open Access Mandates from Funders (February 5), Grant Prospecting Strategies and Resources (April 2, co-taught by GC librarian Kate Angell), and Humanities and Arts Funding Opportunities (May 7).
