Change Comes to Paying Fines

Now that the Graduate Center has switched from Banner to CUNYFirst, we’ll see some changes in the library. One of these changes is the new fine payment system that’s being introduced by CUNY. How will this change affect you?

  • The Circulation Desk will no longer be accepting payments for overdue Aleph fines or lost books.
  • This change will go into effect on Monday 7/16/18.
  • Payments will be now be made at the Bursar’s office (room 8105.07). You’ll still have to stop by the Circulation desk to get a payment form before you go to the Bursar’s office.
  • You will only be able to pay fines when the Bursar’s office is open (Monday-Friday, 9AM to 5PM—no weekend or evening hours).
  • The Bursar’s office accepts cash or check only (no credit cards). Online and phone payments are not possible.

Anyone interested in taking care of the fines before this change must do so by this weekend. We will still be accepting fines at the Circulation Desk until Sunday evening, July 15, 2018. You also have the option of paying your fines at any of the other CUNY libraries, except for the Guttman Community College.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.
