Davonne White Joins the GC Library

Davonne White photoThe Graduate Center Library is pleased to announce that Davonne White has joined the staff of the circulation unit as a CUNY Office Assistant.

Davonne comes to us from the Graduate Center’s Information Technology department, where she worked for five and a half years under their Administrative Manager. In her position there, she earned high praise for her job performance, especially when she assumed many additional responsibilities during her supervisor’s extended absence. She was commended for making “exceptional” contributions to IT, and we look forward to the contributions she’ll be making to the library.

Davonne brings to the library a wealth of knowledge about the Graduate Center, an abundance of office skills, and a facility with complex workflows, as well as years of experience with public services. Her work experience is enhanced by her management degree from Queensborough Community College, where she was a Dean’s List student for four semesters. In addition to her work-related skills, Davonne likes to sing and is interested in the performing arts.

We in the library are delighted to have Davonne — we’re already impressed with her organizational skills and cheerful demeanor. Davonne tells us that she’s excited to be in a new environment and is eager to gain new skills and meet new people. So, if you see Davonne in the library, stop and say hi!
