Now Hiring! Adjunct Open Educational Resources Librarian

The Mina Rees Library, CUNY Graduate Center seeks an Adjunct Open Educational Resources (OER) Librarian to assist with the Open Knowledge Fellowship, an intensive training program for doctoral students who teach at CUNY. This program takes place in person at the Graduate Center in January 2026 and in a Spring cohort (dates TBD). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking an opportunity to apply their teaching and assessment skills in the context of Open Educational Resources.

The Adjunct OER Librarian will attend all 2026 Fellowship sessions in person, support the program’s development, planning, and assessment process, and additionally offer guidance to student Fellows who are involved in the process of converting a course to ZTC (Zero Textbook Cost) materials.

Responsibilities include:

  • Meeting with individual students to review their selections of OER materials
  • Editing and posting student blog posts on WordPress-based platform
  • Creating and distributing outreach materials
  • Reviewing the existing program materials and supplementing with new/relevant content
  • Assisting in gathering required program data and statistics

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Library and Information Science, or current enrollment in a Library and Information Science program with at least 12 credits completed
  • Demonstrated interest in academic librarianship
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enjoys the challenge of communicating complex topics to new learners
  • Demonstrated interest in teaching and creating educational materials

Compensation: Up to 15 hours per week at a CUNY Non-teaching Adjunct hourly rate ($51-$58/hour) commensurate with education and experience
