The Graduate Center’s Mina Rees Library is looking for reliable College Assistants to work in the Circulation department of the library. The starting pay is $15.61 working 8–20 hours a week. Current hours are (Mon – Friday, 10am to 6pm), with possible evening and weekend availability later in the semester. All interested parties should apply at the Circulation Desk or submit their resume/CV to Curtis Matthew.

Responsibilities include: In-person staffing of the Circulation or Reserve Desk, as well as some shelving in the stacks. Candidates will have to interact with student and faculty when circulating library material. There is some lifting involved and everyone has to be able to work in shared spaces. There may be some basic support to help with the library’s databases or use of copy machines. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed such as providing support to other Library departments.

Qualifications: Previous library or public service experience is welcomed, but not required. However, paying attention to detail, excellent oral skills, and the ability to learn quickly are preferred.
