This semester the library will be running a series of workshops developed specifically for science students. The first workshop in the series will teach you some advanced Web of Science searching techniques, including citation searching to follow research backwards and forwards in time, searching for grant and funding information, and setting up search alerts to keep you up to date on the newest publications.
Later workshops will cover using Zotero for your citation management, using open access and institutional repositories to store your own work and to find free resources, and how to identify and avoid predatory and unreliable publishers and journals.
Although these workshops were developed with science students in mind, all are welcome. You can see the full schedule below. Each workshop is held in the Science Center, room 4102.
