A Stacked Library Welcome!

For some this is a welcome back; for others, it is an introduction to the Graduate Center Library.
Welcome to the section of the Graduate Center building that may easily become your campus-home-space:

Where We Are

The Graduate Center library is located on three levels of 365 Fifth Avenue. You’ll find that in a building where many offices are window-less, we overlook with large arched windows 34th Street & 5th Avenue. The bright and welcoming interior will keep you moving up or down the stairs. Our elevator will sweep you through the walls of information.

However, similar to scholarly journal formats, we are not only physically bound, but also available online. Through our social media presence, you can find the GC library on the CUNY Commons, right here on the library blog, or follow us on Twitter, or like our Facebook page. Finally, the new website will act as your gateway to most of your research information needs.

What You’ll Find

Books, journals, electronic resources, special collections, and faculty publications are some of the many materials you’ll find at the library. Exploring the three tabs on the website’s central box will get you to nearly all of our resources.

When to Arrive

The library has an array of workshops, webinars, event series, and more. Below are some workshops that you don’t want to miss. Stay up to date on our Events Calendar for more information:

We urge you to become acclimated to the library by attending an orientation where a librarian is present to offer an overview. You can always contact your subject librarian for more information.

Finally, you may find the library slideshow from New Student Orientation here:
