Learn New Technology Skills with NYPL’s Lynda.com

Wish you’d made it to more of the workshops offered this semester around the Graduate Center (SPSS, WordPress, Photoshop, etc.)? Wish there’d been workshops on additional topics — e.g., R, CSS, Excel, Illustrator? Want to learn new software, programming, or tech skills over the summer? Then the New York Public Library has the answer for you: lynda.com, an enormous collection of excellent tech training videos.

The Graduate Center Library does not currently have a subscription to lynda.com, but the Graduate Center community is welcome to make use of NYPL’s subscription, which is available remotely by logging in with NYPL credentials.

For most topics, lynda.com offers not just one training video but a whole series of videos providing hours of detailed instruction. You can browse the full range of subjects and software covered, but here are a few topics we think might interest the Graduate Center community:
