Almost Summer 2015 E-Resources Summary

This post is the latest in a series designed to keep the Graduate Center community updated about our collections; focused primarily on electronic resources available through the Graduate Center Library.

New Databases

(These and all other Graduate Center Library databases can be found on our full A-Z list)American National Biography Online

  • American National Biography Online: offers authoritative articles with bibliographies that often point to collections of personal papers that may not be discoverable with catalog or ArchiveGrid searches.
  • New STEM Databases: CUNY libraries have worked together to subscribe to a collection of science and technology journals and databases. Some of these items were already accessible for the Graduate Center community,  but the following we were able to add because of this new collaboration:
    • IEEE Xplore: provides Web access to more than 3-million full-text documents from some of the world’s most highly cited publications in electrical engineering, computer science and electronics.
    • More Nature journals than ever before!: we have had access to the Nature journal archive for a few years, but we now have subscriptions to many more Nature titles, from Scientific American to Nature Nanotechnology.

Additional Ebooks

CHO

  • We have added many more ebook titles to our Cambridge Histories Online collections. It is best to search through the link here or on the A-Z list because these titles have not yet been added to the library’s catalog nor are they searchable in OneSearch. But they are full-text searchable via the Cambridge interface!
